Volunteer Engagement

A small group of enthusiastic gardeners got together in 1989, and decided to make the suburb of Adamstown a little greener. Our first planting took place right at the beginning of the Fernleigh Track, and over the last 30 years we’ve moved up and down and all throughout the Hunter.

Our community is at the heart of everything we do. We have a strong track record of building partnerships through with other community-based volunteer groups, government and non-government organisations, schools throughout the Hunter and most importantly – our members and supporters.

We offer:

  • Meaningful and friendly volunteer placements for those with environmental values
  • Professional development for environmental science and TAFE students
  • Mutual Obligation placement
  • Rehabilitation and disability work placements
