Education & Engagement

To fulfill our mission to protect and conserve native vegetation, Trees In Newcastle works not just on the ground but with people.

We offer hands-on opportunities for environmental training through volunteering opportunities in a friendly and supportive environment.

Our education program engages participants at three levels:

  1. Heart – promote positive values, attitudes and a sense of connection to the environment.
  2. Head – learn new knowledge about natural systems, biodiversity and conservation.
  3. Hands – practice skills and take action to improve the environment.

Workshops and educational programs are conducted by fully qualified and experienced trainers and educators.

Our objective is to empower people to pursue their projects independently for the long-term sustainability of biodiversity in the Hunter Region.
